I originally moved to the Pacific Northwest to get involved in <a title=\"Local Roots Farm\" href=\"http:\/\/localrootsfarm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">organic <\/a><a title=\"One Leaf Farm\" href=\"http:\/\/oneleaffarm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">agriculture<\/a>, but comics got a hold of me and I ended up interning at <a title=\"Periscope Studio\" href=\"http:\/\/periscopestudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Periscope Studio<\/a> in Portland. I self-published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everettpatterson.com\/?page_id=1094\" target=\"_blank\">my first graphic novel<\/a>\u00a0in 2011 and worked as an assistant editor at <a title=\"Dark Horse Comics\" href=\"http:\/\/www.darkhorse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dark Horse Comics<\/a> from 2012 to 2015.
